June is not over yet, but the book I’m reading doesn’t count for this challenge, so I’m ready to do the second checkpoint.
1. Until now, I’ve read 46 books from my TBR pile, which means I’ve climbed 77% of Mt. Kilimanjaro with half of the year ahead. I’m really confident that I will climb to the top.
2. Challenges:
A – Two titles with a common link: O Mapa do Tempo, by Félix J. Palma and A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle: in both, time travel is a very important plot device.
B – Still Alice, by Lisa Genova, has the Alzheimer Disease as one of its main themes. I had never read a book about it, and I found it really scary. It is a very well written book, and it really deserves to be read.
C – I’m not sure between The Panted Veil by Somerset Maugham, Capitães da Areia by Jorge Amado or The Horse and his Boy by C.S. Lewis, all bought circa 2006-2007. I really liked the first two ones, but this Narnia installment was not to my taste.
