I’ve read every novel that Jacqueline Carey has written, some of them more than once, and most recently Naamah’s Curse. To this day, she remains my favorite author and I absolutely love the forays she’s taken into “dark erotica”. While of the Kushiel Legacy and Naamah Series I cannot speak more highly when comparing these to any other author’s offering in a similar genre, particularly due to JC’s prowess in writing in the first-person no matter the character she’s representing (i.e.: female or male makes no difference), I was also much impressed with The Sundering Duology since it was told from the perspective of the losers with whom I sided. Santa Olivia was also a welcome treat from this versatile author and I can hardly wait for its sequel next spring!

Excellent interview! I’m very excited to hear that Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel’s Dart has made it to Portugal. This is the first in one of my favourite series. I would encourage anyone to read this novel because of it’s rich prose and plot filled with glorious intrigue, but be warned that one must maintain an open mind, as some topics or scenes can be uncomfortable. If you hang in there, it will be worth it in the end!

Deixa lá o Martin descansadinho… parece-me que ele se distrai facilmente com outras coisas para além do livro e a ver o acaba ainda este ano

Quanto a este livro, de facto é muito rico a nível de background. As localizações, o funcionamento da sociedade e a mitologia estão muito bem desenvolvidas. Acho que irias gostar

Fantástica entrevista! (Para quando uma com o Martin? )

Fiquei bastante curiosa em relação ao mundo que ela construiu. Os vários países que visitou e tendo como um dos focos a religião promete algo interessante.
